The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step and as we enter the beginning of another financial year, the Rotary D9510 Online Club Members invite you to join us on a virtual journey of 15,022,077 steps (10,773 km or 6,694 miles) from Australia to Afar in Ethiopia to visit our Online Club Member Valerie Browning.
Valerie has spent over 35 years living and working in Afar Ethiopia to improve maternal and infant health care. Many Rotarians have supported Valerie’s work in the past and we thank you for your support, for which Valerie is very grateful. Now there is an even greater need to provide access to clean drinking water as the ongoing drought has dire consequences. Women and children are malnourished from lack of food and potable water, both in quality and quantity, and some mothers are dying in childbirth.
Donations are urgently needed to provide clean and accessible water for people, plants and animals. We will continue to share videos and photos of how your donations are making a big difference in the lives of others.
