Activity Description: 100 Women’s Emergency Gift Packs
Activity Location: South Australia Metropolitan

The objective was to provide one hundred
emergency bags for women who have been
victims of domestic violence and forced to seek
emergency accommodation such as a Refuge.
The first twenty-five bags were completed in
2019 and delivered to Playford Community
Services.
The onset of the coronavirus provided
challenges, especially with the purchasing of
contents. Rotarians were each assigned specific
items to source and buy for the remainder of the
bags, which were filled and delivered to Wesley
Community Services Bowden and Katherine
House Adelaide in May 2020.

Tablets and ninety
-three covers for

purchased from a
different grant.

communication
device makes it
possible for these
clients to
communicate as
they do not have
verbal capacity.
