Public Relations—Henley Beach
As covered in Connections Issue 1, this major public event
attracted a large crowd and raised community awareness
of Rotary programs, projects, The Rotary Foundation and
Australian Rotary Health through radio, print and social
media.
The Carousel at Semaphore is owned and maintained by Henley
Beach Rotarian Frank Schirripa & Jan Schirripa and managed by
the Rotary Club of Henley Beach. It is the source of funds for
Rotary projects and for community services for people with
significant disabilities and the under privileged.
A professional production company produced three videos from the
day.
They are available free of charge for Rotary clubs and other Rotary
organizations to use to promote various aspects of Rotary,
especially End Polio and Australian Rotary Health and the history
of the carousel and Rotary’s involvement. For a copy of these
videos, please contact Anthony Masson at
anthonymasson@bigpond.com or m: 0407 235 284.
Youth Service Activities—Adelaide, Gawler Light and Prospect
A three-way tie! Some programs in common, some diverse,
some small, some large—each club meets the criteria and gives
much to the support of youth and youth related programs. It
was difficult to subjectively single one club out.
