Rotary Clubs support Helping SA farmers
       with drought relief in upper North of South Australia Rotary National Appeal for Drought Relief.
       Supporting South Australian farmers, Rotary Clubs of Port Pirie,
       Mawson Lakes, Burnside, Campbelltown and St Peters have
       provided a total of $25,000 to purchase much needed hay to

       Farmers and Pastoralists in the upper North of South Australia
       at Yunta.

       The semi-Trailers will deliver the Hay to Yunta on Saturday 11 July
       where the rolls of hay will be unloaded by volunteers and then
       distributed to farming families who are still in drought and are
       trying to keep their livestock alive.
       Total 240 Rolls (Hay Roll weights 400kg & 350kg)  = 88 tonnes
       of Wheaton and Oaten Hay- 7 Prime movers 100% donated,
       1 prime mover $500 fuel - paid by Helping SA farmers Inc (HSAF)



       This is in conjunction with Helping SA farmers Inc. who have
       arranged for the purchase of hay and arranged the semi-Trailers to be loaded at the hay distributors
       early and leave Roseworthy at 8 am for the long trip to Yunta. The drivers of the semi-trailers have
       donated their time and fuel for the trucks has been co-ordinated by the Helping SA farmers Inc.


                                                                                                        There will be a BBQ lunch proved by the local
                                                                                                        Yunta community after the Semitrailers arrive
                                                                                                        at Yunta and the hay is then allocated to the

                                                                                                        farming families in Yunta. The hay will then
                                                                                                        be taken to the stations to help keep livestock
                                                                                                        alive on the 12 to 16 properties contacted by
                                                                                                        Elders at Peterbourgh.

                                                                                                        Rotary raised the Drought relief funds in a
                                                                                                        national appeal from the public and have

                                                                                                        been working with Rotary Clubs to help
                                                                                                        farmers in their need to get through the
                                                                                                        drought. It is much appreciated that the
                                                                                                        Rotary clubs haven’t forgotten about the
                                                                                                        Drought affected Farming community.


         Rotary working with Helping SA farmers have
         given hope to those who need help in the
         Drought affected areas of South Australia.
