Rotary in action at Christmas pageants
Christmas Pageants are out in force again this year
after 2or 3 years suspension because of COVID-19.
RCs of Kent Town, Magill Sunrise, Mobilong
and Regency Park joined in with RC Norwood to
marshal the pageant again this year.
RC Norwood has co-organized this pageant with
the Council each year for over 30 years. This year
commercial floats were excluded from the pageant
to reduce the length of the pageant from around
100 floats to 51 floats, bands, singing and dance
troupes.
Father Christmas became unwell shortly before the Norwood
It was decided it was taking too long for the Christmas Pageant so a famous face from RC Regency Park,
children to wait for Father Christmas to arrive! who normally clowned in the parade, climbed aboard the sleigh.
Despite the theat of rain over 20,000 spectators Guess who!
watched the hour and half long parade.

Pageant
Again the club is grateful to Paradize Mazda for providing the lead vehicle for its float and this year
RC Onkaparinga also provided its branded bushfire recovery fencing ute to help show the range of local
Rotary projects. This project is now entering its 4th and final year of bushfire recovery for Adelaide Hills
landholders.
Over 20,000 spectators turned out for the Norwood Christmas
pageant and read the messages on the club’s current projects.
