Rotary helps bring in the vintage at Boston Bay Wines
Every vintage, Boston Bay Wines uses casual labour from local organisations, sporting and service clubs
to pick grapes for the vintage. It’s one of our best fundraisers which enables community projects to be
implemented throughout the ensuing year.
Each Sunday morning during February and March, members of the Rotary Club of Port Lincoln, with
partners and friends, amongst the other groups, gather to pick the fruit.
Most years, the club arranges through one of its members, a team of visiting medical students to the Eyre
Peninsula Local Health Services, to assist the club in this fundraiser.
Everyone enjoys the casual friendships, the camaraderie and the special hospitality of our host on
these occasions.
