Goolwa funding backpack beds for the homeless
The Rotary Club of Goolwa is providing Backpack Beds ($440 for 4) this winter for the homeless.
In addition it has a pack of 10 sleeping bags for couch
surfers and those sleeping in cars.
Tony Clark, the Founder/Chairman of Backpack Beds,
was a 1992 Rotary Youth Exchange student to
Finland. Rotary Exchange students fundraise to provide
Backpack Beds for the homeless.
Goolwa has been working with the Adelaide Day Centre
for Homeless (Men). If other clubs are interested

Established in Melbourne 2007, national charity Backpack Bed for Homeless (formerly Swags
for Homeless) has revolutionised the question of what to do when homeless have no shelter.
Founder Tony Clark and his wife Lisa designed the life-saving Backpack Bed emergency bed to
give dignity to homeless people without shelter.
