How are Global Grant Projects funded?
➢ The minimum budget for a global grant project is US$30,000.
➢ The Rotary Foundation’s World Fund provides a maximum of US$400,000 (there is no minimum amount).
➢ Districts contribute District Designated Funds (DDF) and Clubs contribute cash.
➢ DDF is matched 80 percent by the World Fund ($80 for every $100 of DDF contributed to the project).
➢ Cash is not matched, but if the cash is donated to the Rotary Foundation, the District can elect to substitute the cash
for DDF which is matched 80%. This is dependent on sufficient DDF being available. Contact the District Foundation
Chair to discuss this option when preparing a Global Grant application.
➢ Seek funds from other clubs in your area or other districts to maximise the value of your project.
