Meet your neighbour… a continuing series introducing the 85 clubs in the
         new district to each other

Rotary Club of Robinvale – Euston

The Rotary Club of Robinvale – Euston comprises 19 members from the border towns of Robinvale in Victoria
and Euston in NSW, both located on the Mighty Murray River near lock 15 – it is truly a border community.
The Club has been an active part of the community for 62 years and continues its good work especially in
these trying times surrounding the Covid -19 pandemic.

One of the Club’s key activities is the running of the monthly Country Markets but due to Covid-19 these
have been cancelled. The Club’s main fund raiser is its iconic donut van which is a prominent feature at each
market, plus every other community event in the district.

Due to Covid-19, the donut van has been sitting idle, BUT early in August the Club decided to do something
different – they obtained approval to set up the donut van in the IGA supermarket carpark in Robinvale on a
Saturday morning with the hope of giving some of the community the joy of going to a take-away van to buy
        the popular donuts.

Well, the response was overwhelming and by 1pm the Club was totally sold out of donuts. President Arthur
Cassidy was thrilled to see the public’s response to a Rotary initiative during this isolation time and is shown
presenting a cheque for $1,500 towards the Mental Health Program in Robinvale.

has been selected for this project.

Are there any other clubs with schools in the district
                                                                                                    selected to plant Peace Poles?

                                                                                                    If please notify Rotary Matters.
